WECANDANCE & Sergio Herman’s AIRcafé team up during summer months

WECANDANCE and Sergio Herman seem to have a very special connection, finding a mutual passion in quality (sea)food. Not only will they celebrate that same fondness together at WECANDANCE 2019, where Sergio Herman’s AIRcafé will host a separate food and cocktail area. WECANDANCE will also launch a series of Safari Sundays at AIRcafé during the months of July & August, where the sound and feel of balearic Ibiza vibes will take center stage.

Localized at Cadzand-Bad, AIRcafé reveals itself as the ultimate summer getaway along Zeeland’s seaside resort. Open from 11:00 – 22:00 during the summer months, this café distinguishes itself by the simplicity, pureness and straightforwardness of the menu. Think croques, shrimp croquettes, signature fries from Frites Atelier and soft ice. Thirst can be quenched with exclusive cocktails made by mixologist Paul Morel (Atelier Paul Morel) using Bacardi-Martini spirits.

On the special occasion of WECANDANCE 2019, AIRcafé will set up camp at the festival to provide in a separate food section where visitors can enjoy a range of extraordinary dishes & cocktails in a relaxing oasis. All of this will be soundtracked by some downtempo balearic-infused DJ-sets coming from Bafana, Rheinzand, DJ Sense & Juice Blenders, Cheap Charly Men and DJ Neiro.


What’s more, WECANDANCE will also host a mini takeover at AIRcafé during the months July & August. Every Sunday of July & August, and also on Monday August 12, the festival invites you to AIRcafé to get a pretaste of what WECANDANCE 2019 is all about by bringing along a select crew of WECANDANCE 2019 DJ’s and by serving exclusive cocktails made by mixologist Paul Morel (Atelier Paul Morel) using Bacardi-Martini spirits. These takeovers, baptized “Safari Sundays”, will let you plunge into a laidback Ibiza-esque world along the idyllic setting of Cadzand’s coastline. Downtempo DJ-sets will be served by John Noseda, Bafana & Palmera, Bart Ricardo, Fred Nasen, Sheridan, Kajan Chow and surprise guests.  

Safe to say that AIRcafé and WECANDANCE will make summer 2019 one to remember. Come chase the sunsets at the WECANDANCE x AIRcafé ‘Safari Sundays’ or just drop by for a mellow retreat at AIRcafé’s relaxing food area during WECANDANCE 2019.

Since their very first edition, the festival chooses to work with multiple renowned Belgian restaurants and chefs that offer a variety of dishes. Each and everyone of them also creates a signature WECANDANCE dish to pamper our visitors’ taste buds.

The festival also likes to contribute to keeping the ecological footprint as small as possible. Using organic products and disposable tableware brings them one step closer to that goal.

WECANDANCE is undeniably linked to apparel, which ensures a cool but more feminine touch. With that asset, they aim to continue a conversation that started at the foundation of this premium boutique festival. A fourth corner stone was added to the festival since their fourth edition in 2016. WECANDANCE invites different artists to create a bespoke installation that triggers our visitors to stop and think for a moment.
